After the 7% drop on Monday, a rally of more than 4.5% for all major US stock market indices. Dow gained more than 1,100 points. Small-cap stocks underperformed as Russell 2000 index gained less than the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite, closing higher 2.85%. Increased stock market trading volatility continues as an intial rally at the open of the trading session was erased later on, but demand for stocks pushed higher the stock market indices and near their highs at the close.
